Virtuity Consulting Group was established by Directors Tim Davey and Rob Mackinnon, who share a burning conviction that success in business and satisfaction in the workplace can be and should be achieved simultaneously.
With over 40 years combined experience in organisational leadership, management and executive coaching, Rob and Tim provide wise and insightful leadership drawing from a wide variety of industry experience including retail, manufacturing, education, NGOs and the community sector. Rob and Tim also bring an international perspective having both lived and worked overseas for portions of their careers.
Rob and Tim have diverse study interests and hold Masters level degrees in Business Administration and Theology. Their primary passion remains understanding people and guiding effective organisational leadership. Director, Virtuity Consulting Group
Tim began his career in sales and marketing with Ciba Specialty Chemicals in Australia before relocating to Ciba’s head office in Switzerland where he held regional responsibilities for sales and marketing activities across Southern Europe and Africa. As Tim’s career developed he transitioned from Sales and Marketing, and for the past fifteen years, has worked in Strategic HR management with a focus on Learning, Organisational Development, Career and Talent Management. After Ciba, Tim headed the Learning and Organisational Development Department for the Pacific Brands Group and was Head of Talent and Performance for World Vision Australia.
Prior to establishing Virtuity Consulting Group Tim was a senior consultant for both Directioneering and Peoplescape. Tim has facilitated learning, provided executive coaching, and worked on consulting assignments for senior managers and executives in a diverse range of industries including; media, the performing arts, manufacturing, financial services, transport, education, insurance, legal, and not-for-profit sectors. He is accredited to deliver the Herrmann HBDI® and Team Management Systems® instruments.
Tim holds a B.Sc. from Melbourne University and a M.Div. from Ridley College in Melbourne where he focused on the unique organisational and leadership complexities of faith-based organisations. Tim has undertaken executive education at a number of business schools including Melbourne Business School and IMD (Switzerland).
Tim has a strong interest in the community and has served both as a senior manager and board member of an International Aid and Development organisation and at board level for multiple community organisations.

Rob began his career as an entrepreneur establishing a successful community service organisation from scratch. Through his adventurous and successful career as a builder of organisations in education, NFP, and entrepreneurial start-ups, Rob has become an accomplished organisational leader, facilitator, consultant and executive coach. Rob has a great passion for developing leaders and organisational effectiveness for his clients. Rob’s expertise is to deconstruct complex organisational problems and make them understandable and solvable. He digs deep to address the root issues in creative ways, ensuring senior leaders acquire, not just more information, but confident knowledge of how to address their own strategic, organisational and leadership challenges. Rob brings positive energy, transformational insights, and can-do wisdom to client engagements through his own visionary, collaborative and perceptive leadership style.
In addition to directing Virtuity Consulting Group and their growing client list, Rob consults and facilitates for Swinburne Professional at Swinburne University of Technology. Rob sits on the Advisory and Steering Committees for the Graduate Certificate in Applied Business qualification and is the Unit Convenor for the leadership unit: Lead Personal and Strategic Transformation. In this capacity Rob consults with industry, develops curriculum, facilitates, and assesses Grad Cert students in Leadership, Change Management, Business Strategy Development and Innovative Thinking and Practice.
Along with training hundreds of students in the classroom, Rob has delivered leadership, culture, and organisational development engagements for the Department of Health and Human Services, Victoria; Department of Education and Training, Victoria; Specsavers, and large private clients in manufacturing, wholesale/retail, transport and professional services.
Rob holds a B.Th. from Sydney College of Divinity, an MBA from Swinburne University of Technology and a Certificate of Organisational Coaching from the Institute of Executive Coaching and Leadership.
Rob has a strong interest in the community. He currently serves as a volunteer board member of a national community development organisation and is actively involved in his son’s representative basketball club.
